Quando Hubs are compatible with Shimano and Sram 8s and 9s cassette. These hubs differ from a general purpose threaded freewheel hub in such a manner that there are no threads in it instead it has a slot where the cassette directly fits into. Ratcheting mechanism is present in the hubs itself & not the cassette.

To get rid of wear and tear of the hubs bearings one must lubricate the hub once in a month. Also it is adviced that while washing your bike care must be taken to avoid water entering the hubs. This will damage the ball bearings.
